In term of image and relevance, everything happen in the US. For years, Salomon had trouble with its brand image; Just before I was hired they put a solid team in place like Jed Anderson, Chris Grenier. So my first job was to improve our board graphics for the US riders, I worked a talented team of designers so guide them and be the voice of the market.
Then the second step was to create key franchise models supported by our team riders while mixing it up with new technologies.
And, as a result our performance segment grew threefold in overall board quantities with 5 boards ranging from $360 to $500.
